Congrats to WVH’s Science and Biology teacher Mr. John Walsh on being awarded a Certificate of Achievement for the 2016-17 Prime Minister’s Awards (PMA) for Teaching Excellence. Having a teacher win a PMA is a tremendous honour and a very proud moment for Waterford Valley High, and especially so as Mr. Walsh is the very first teacher to receive this award!
WVH will present Mr. Walsh with his Award during our final awards Assembly in June.
Also a big congrats to WVH’s Music teacher Ms. Susan Evoy as she is one of the winners for the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts and Letters Award (Music Composition, Senior division). Ms. Evoy’s composition is part of the Arts and Letters exhibit, on display at The Rooms until the middle of May.
